Fuel switching from oil, propane or natural gas? The CleanBC Better Homes and Home Renovation Rebate Program is offering a $500 rebate for upgrading your electrical service to 100, 200, or 400 amp service for your home when upgrading from a fossil fuel primary space or water heating system to a primary electrical space or water heating system.
Eligibility
You must be converting from a fossil-fueled primary space or water heating system to an electric primary space or water heating system to be eligible to receive this rebate. You must live in an eligible home and have a residential utility account with Fortis BC, BC Hydro or a municipality utility. Your home must be primarily heated by a pre-approved list of suppliers. Your upgrades must be installed by a licensed contractor with a valid BC business license for the trade applicable to the installation work. To be eligible, you must have an annual household income of $55,000 or less, you must own your home, it must be your principle residence, and the property must be valued at $300,000 or less (tax assessed value). Your water must currently be heated by fossil fuels (heating oil or propane) to be eligible.

New Home Contruction Program
PEI residents can make their new homes more energy efficient and comfortable. An efficiency PEI energy partner will arrange for a certified energy advisor to evaluate your building plan before construction begins and will also subsidizes more than 80% of the cost of this plan’s evaluation and follow-up assessment. Once an energy advisor has conducted an assessment on your new home, you’ll be eligible to receive up to $5,000 in rebates.

Solar Electric Rebate Program
Prince Edward Island homeowners, farms, and businesses can receive incentives to install solar PV panels. Solar Photovoltaic (PV) is a technology that converts sunlight into electricity. Working hand-in-hand with other efficiency upgrades, the use of solar energy can lower your energy bills.
Eligibility
Must have a residential property that is either a single-family home, detached, side-by-side, row house, apartment building or a manufactured or mobile home with have a permanent electrical utility connection. The property must be no more than three stories high, with a footprint smaller than 600 m² (6458 ft²).

The home is under five years old. Air-source heat pumps must be listed by Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships as cold climate. Ground-source heat pumps are ENERGY STAR® certified. Ducted and non-ducted systems must meet program qualifications.

Yukon residents can apply for a ZeroPath rebate for new homes. ZeroPath rebates reward new homes that are constructed to be energy efficient and better than the current 2015 National Building Code standards.

- annual energy consumption that is 60% less than the same home built to the current 2015 National Building Code standards, or
